Round four for women

MATCHES in round four of the Western Victoria Female Football League were played last Sunday.


At Melville Oval, Hamilton scored a thumping 160-point win over Warrnambool, 25.16.166 to 1.0.6.

For Hamilton, Ella Boston kicked six goals, Emma Robertson and Kirby Vise kicked five each, with Emily Pitts contributing three goals.

Those four players were named as the Kangaroos best.

Warrnambool’s best players were LaToya Folima, Hannah Utri and Tayla Hill.

At the Cavendish Recreation reserve, the home team scored a 15.18.108 to 3.1.19 win over Branxholme/Wallacedale.

Best for Cavendish were Stephanie Praolini, Ava Murrihy and Matilda Mason, with Murrihy kicking five goals and Praolini three.

Jessica Cannane, Bonnie Farrugia-Gleeson and Madison Zujdveld were best for Branxholme/Wallacedale, with Farrugia-Gleeson kicking two goals.

Terang Mortlake were unfortunately forced to forfeit its match against Tyrendarra, with South Warrnambool having the bye.

In this Sunday’s round five fixtures, Hamilton play Tyrendarra at Melville Oval, Terang Mortlake host South Warrnambool at Mortlake’s DC Farran Oval, Warrnambool meets Cavendish at the Reid Oval with Branxholme/Wallacedale having the bye.
