Runners donate to men’s shed
THE Warrnambool Running Club has made a $500 donation to the Warrnambool Men’s Shed, proceeds raised from the club’s Jetty Flat 5 summer run series.

The Jetty Flat 5 featured 5km and 2.5km events conducted on the scenic trails of Lake Pertobe. The series attracted runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment focused on participation, wellbeing and connection.
Club president Peter Molan said the donation reflects the club’s broader commitment to the Warrnambool community.
“While running is at the heart of what we do, we’re about much more than kilometres and competition,” Mr Molan said. “We are a community-focused club that genuinely cares about supporting local organisations and strengthening the connections that make Warrnambool such a great place to live.
“We’re proud to support the Warrnambool Men’s Shed and the important role it plays in our community. The Jetty Flat 5 series is not only about encouraging an active lifestyle, but also about giving back where we can.”
The Warrnambool Men’s Shed provides a welcoming space for men to share skills, work on projects, and support one another, contributing significantly to community wellbeing across the region.
Warrnambool Running Club thanks all participants, volunteers and supporters who made the Jetty Flat 5 series a success and helped make this community contribution possible.
