Show day tomorrow
ALL roads lead to the Warrnambool Showgrounds tomorrow (Saturday) for an action-packed day out for the whole family.
With live entertainment, animals, rides, a mini zoo, showbags and plenty to see, do, eat and drink the Warrnambool Show will once again be a popular event among locals and visitors to the town.
Experience the atmosphere of the shearing shed with a shearing competition on the go all day and sit back and admire the skill and grace of those entered in the many horse events on the main arena.
The dog high jump will again provide a great spectacle and will no doubt be hotly contested and why not get some Christmas shopping done while you’re there by browsing the range of market stalls and trade stands?
The best cattle, sheep, poultry and fleece from across the region will also be on display and the homecrafts competitions and displays will also be something not to be missed.
Make sure you take the little ones to the kids zone where you will find a host of free activities throughout the day.
Some of the all-day activities will include a Dinkum Dinosaurs walk-through display, Fun Farm 2 U, Jamie and Kim’s mobile zoo, an activity area and free face painting and tattoos by the popular Colour Angel.
Hoop Sparx will entertain children with a range of activities including giant bubbles at 9.30am, hula hoop play at 11am and 3.45pm, interactive spinning plates at 12.30pm, circus fun at 1.30pm and roving LED at 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
Entertainer Mr M will host music shows at 10am and at 2pm a tug-of-war competition will kick off which will no doubt attract a lot of interest among showgoers.
Young visitors will be amazed by the ‘Enchanted Experience’ in the old horticultural building – dress up as your favourite magical character for your chance to win a great prize.
The spectacular Pyro Show will be one of the highlights of the show program and as with previous years, there will again be displays of floral art, craft, horticulture, cookery and photography.
Ticket prices are just $25 per adult, $20 for concession and anyone under the age of 17 will be admitted free.
Gates open at 9.30am.
