‘Showstoppers’ on stage next week
WARRNAMBOOL Theatre Company looks again set to entertain and thrill audiences, with the cast from ‘Showstoppers’ set to take to the stage next week.

A high energy, local cast of 39 new and old faces will present an energetic concert of dynamic numbers, set to an exceptional 20-piece orchestra.
Sixteen songs from 16 different musicals from all eras of musical theatre history can be enjoyed.
The multi-generational cast, ranging in age from six through to 69, will perform songs such as Disney favourites Hakuna Matata and Be our Guest, through to some Sounds of Music favourites and Sweet Charity’s booming Big Spender.
Hosts Patrick Ivers and Caitlin Garner will leave audiences in absolute stitches every time they grab hold of the microphone.
Debut director Heidi Benz oozes heart and enthusiasm.
“The talent in this cast and orchestra genuinely blows me away,” she said.
“The emotional numbers bring a tear to my eye every time while the big ensemble pieces give me goosebumps and make me wish I was up on that stage doing this with them all.

“The talent, heart and energy everyone brings is simply incredible and I’m so proud of what we’ve created together and I can’t wait for audiences to experience it too.”
Producer Matt Baker knows this is a special project.
“An exceptional 20-piece live on-stage orchestra brings every musical moment to life with power, precision and passion,” he said.
The show is a 90-minute, one act spectacle and a great way to spend a cold winter’s night.
The show can be seen next Tuesday, August 18 and Wednesday, August 19 from 7pm at The Lighthouse Theatre.
