Social day for Probus

PROBUS club members from across the district enjoyed a day of social bowls late last month.

Hosted by the Warrnambool Combined Twin Rivers club, the bowls day attracted members from Dunolly, Ararat, Ballarat, Timboon, Terang, Colac and Koroit.

They were joined on the greens at City Memorial by seven teams from Warrnambool clubs.

“The day was all about bringing together as many Probus clubs as possible for a fun, social day,” Warrnambool Combined Twin Rivers member, Annie Boyd said.

“All up we had 18 teams participate which was a great number.

“Congratulations to the winners, Twin Rivers Emu, and runners-up Twin Rivers Stingray.”

In third place at the end of play was a team from Colac, with Twin Rivers Hopkins finishing fourth.
