Solstice party returns next month
WARRNAMBOOL’S winter favourite, Solstice Search Party, will return to Lake Pertobe on Saturday, June 20.

This free event invites people to rug up and enjoy the benefits of an early sunset with an evening of light, music, food and entertainment.
Neon light sculptures will feature throughout the event alongside projections from One Day Studios.
The artist behind the new Warrnambool railway station mural, Tyson Savannah, returns as “The Lanternist” with a collection of larger-than-life animal lanterns.
Fire dancer FireLily will light up the night while Nurture in Nature will run craft activities for children and Guru Dudu will host silent disco tours.

Live music will be provided by Rudders, MixTape, JAGR and DJ Good Intentions, while the Fresh Market Foodie Zone will feature a variety of food vans.
There will also be a sensory zone to help people with sensory sensitivities relax and reset during the event.
Warrnambool mayor Cr Ben Blain said Solstice Search Party had become a much-loved way for the community to embrace winter.
“Solstice Search Party has shown that people are more than willing to rug up and embrace the elements when there is something fun to bring them together,” he said.
“The team has put together a really exciting mix of artists and entertainers, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how spectacular it will all be on the night.
“While registrations aren’t essential, booking a free ticket helps us plan for the event and gives us a way to contact people directly if there are any important updates.”
Solstice Search Party will run from 3pm - 8.30pm.
It is an all-ages, drug and alcohol-free event.
