Solstice Party this weekend
FINAL preparations are under way for Warrnambool’s biggest party of the winter.

Solstice Search Party will be held at Lake Pertobe from 3pm to 8.30pm tomorrow, Saturday June 20.
Presented by the Warrnambool City Council, this free all-ages event invites people to rug up, make the most of the early sunset and embrace winter with a celebration of light, fire, music and warm food.
Professional fire dancer FireLily will make her Solstice Search Party debut, with performances throughout the event.
Another new addition is Tyson Savannah as “The Lanternist.”
Tyson created the music-themed mural at the Warrnambool Railway Station in 2025, and will bring a collection of larger-than-life animal lanterns to Lake Pertobe.

One Day Studios will return with stunning light projections, Nurture in Nature will run craft activities for kids, and neon sculptures will be displayed across the precinct.
Guru Dudu will host silent disco tours, while live music will feature throughout the evening, with performances from Rudders, MixTape, JAGR and DJ Good Intentions.
The Fresh Market Foodie Zone will also be on site, with a range of food vans offering plenty of warm food options.
Warrnambool mayor Cr Ben Blain said the event was the perfect way to bring the community together while attracting visitors outside of the peak season.
“Solstice Search Party gives locals a great night out while creating another reason for people to visit during winter,” he said.
“The line-up this year is fantastic, with so much to see, taste and listen to all in one place.
“Winter is traditionally a quieter time for visitor activity, so events like this are important.
“Solstice has become the highlight of an increasingly busy winter events calendar in Warrnambool.”
Attendees are encouraged to pre-register for free tickets to help with planning, as well as allowing organisers to get in touch if there are important updates.
