THE rise of South Rovers continued in round four of the Warrnambool District Football Netball League senior football competition on Saturday.

The Rovers scored their third win of the season with a 24 point win over Old Collegians at Davidson Oval, 16.11.107 to 12.11.83.

Jayden Watson kicked five goals for South Rovers with Xavier Gercovich, Kurt Lenehan and Tully Matheson the Lions best.

Best for Old Collegians were Ned Timms, Jacob Lacy and Jake Dowell the Warriors best.

An 11 goal bag from Robbie Hare led Allansford to a 18.16.124 to 7.13.55 over Timboon at Allansford.

Hare was named in the best for the home team alongside Jonah Maher, Brett Hunger and Jarvis Bermingham.

Tarkyn Love continued his strong start to the season with four goals for Timboon, with Oliver Delaney, Rhys Ziegalaar and Tayne Berry the Demons best.

At Noorat, Nirranda scored a 19 point win over Kolora-Noorat, 8.13.61 to 5.12.42.

Danny Craven, Dylan Philp and Jarryd Walsh were Nirranda’s best, with Dylan Parish and Isaac Stephens kicking two goals each.

For the Power, Louis Cahill kicked two goals, with Jack Lehmann, Caleb Kavenagh and Ben Carlin best.

Dennington’s woes continued at the Mack Oval, with Russells Creek scoring a 48.25.313 to 0.1.1 win.

Thomas Smith kicked 11 goals for Creek, Lochie Chadderton kicked nine, Sam Kelly kicked six, Harrison McCormack five with four each to Seamus Brady Jyran Chatfield.

Smith, Chadderton and Andrew McMeel were best for the Kangaroos.

Best for Dennington were Will Hawkes, Dom Kelly and Nicholas Annett.

At the Panmure Recreation Reserve, Merrivale scored a 15.14.104 to 8.12.60 win over the home team.

Jack Gleeson, Jack Neave and Jalen Porter were best for Merrivale, with Neave kicking six goals and Manny Sandow three.

Tarj Anderson, Michael Boyd and Tyler Humphrey were Panmure’s best, with Lachlan McLeod leading the goal kickers for the Bulldogs with five majors.

In the A grade netball, Old Collegians scored a 45-34 win over South Rovers.

Paige Lenehan, Hannah Garner and Annabel Lucas were best for the Warriors, with Maggie Kline shooting 34 goals.

Best for South Rovers were Grace Mugavin, Georgia White and Molly Anderson, with Mugavin shooting 30 goals.

Allansford were too strong for Timboon, scoring a 55-25 win.

Best for Allansford were Abbey Day, Abby Sheehan and Bonnie Winter, with Day scoring 35 goals and Lilly Sanderson 20.

Holly Kordupel, Amy Kavenagh, Holly Delaney were the Demons best, with Brianna Gass scoring 13 goals.

Nirranda were too good for Kolora-Noorat with a 66-31 win.

Charlotte Howell, Bella Wallace and Matilda Fitzgerald were the Blues best, with Steph Townsend shooting 35 goals and Howell 29.

Best for the Power were Hannah O’Connor, Mahni Beasley and Isabelle Kenna, with Tara Elliott scoring 23 goals.

Dennington’s A graders returned to the court, losing 84-14 to Russells Creek.

Molly Evans, Reese McIntyre and Jenna Cahill were best for the Kangaroos, with Ruby Evans shooting 42 goals and Molly Evans 41.

Best for Dennington were Alice Peart, Sophie Jellie and Amber Dowd.

At Panmure, Merrivale had a big 59-17 win over the home team.

Best for the Tigers were Layne Porter, Mia Mills and Tahni Porter, with Paiyton Noonan shooting 29 goals and Chloe Lovell 28.

Anna Dickson, Chloe McKenzie and Kelly O’Connell were Panmure’s best in the loss.

This week’s round five fixtures see South Rovers host Allansford at the Walter Oval, Timboon play Nirranda at Timboon, Kolora-Noorat hosts Dennington at Noorat, with Russells Creek and Panmure meeting at the Mack Oval.

Merrivale and Old Collegians had earlier played their round five matches on Good Friday, with Merrivale scoring a 14.13.97 to 10.8.68 win in the senior football, with Old Collegians taking out the A grade netball 58-49.
