Not only was it Female Football Week across Australia (May 8-17) but also Mother’s Day on Sunday.

Teams met for round three of Southwest Football Victoria on the weekend, with players showcasing great skills and teamwork across all ages.

The players also shared a beautiful moment after their games by handing out a flower to their mothers.

Female Football Week focuses on empowering women and girls across all levels of the game.

The week highlights engagement, growth and special events like the Rangers’ under 13 girls’ derby match.

The under 13 Blue side defeated under 13 Teal 10-1, with Charlotte McFadyen kicking six goals.

This season is the first time the club has fielded two under 13 girls teams.

The club’s women’s team began its season well with two wins and had the day off last weekend due to the bye.
