Sportsperson's Night for WRAD Health
CURRENT dual AFLW premiership coach Darren Crocker will be special guest at a Sportsperson’s Night in Warrnambool next week.
Crocker, a former AFL premiership player with 165 games under his belt, will no doubt provide an entertaining recount of his involvement at AFL level.
The evening has been organised as a fundraising effort for WRAD Health.
WRAD Health is a not-for-profit, community based health service providing vital bulk-billing medical, mental health, and alcohol and other drug supports across the region.
Every day this service supports individuals and families through its bulk-billing GP clinic at Handbury Medical Suites; mental health counselling and dual diagnosis support; alcohol and other drug treatment, harm reduction and recovery programs; and allied health and wellbeing services.
It also offers pharmacotherapy and medical care, along with family education and peer support programs.
Funds raised through the Sportsperson’s Night will go directly towards sustaining and strengthening these essential frontline supports.
This includes clinical equipment, program resources, and service delivery tools not fully funded through existing funding streams.
The Sportsperson’s Night will be held in the Carmichael Rooms at City Bowls CLub on Cramer Street from 7pm.
The evening will also include supper and raffle prizes.
