Spreading Christmas cheer
THE Lions Club of Warrnambool is once again hoping visitors to Gateway Plaza will help spread some Christmas cheer this season.

As has become tradition, the Lions organisation is once again selling Christmas cakes and puddings in the lead-up to Christmas Day as one of their major fundraisers.
A stall has been set up inside Warrnambool’s Gateway Plaza in the hope that visitors will purchase a cake or pudding, or make a donation that will help others in need.
Once again a giant raffle – with the chance to win a giant hamper filled with loads of goodies for the entire family – is a feature of the stall.
All money raised from the Christmas raffle, along with the sale of cakes and puddings, allows the club to continue its projects within the local community.
“We thoroughly enjoy volunteering and giving back to our community; it’s all about helping others less fortunate and giving support to those in need so what better time to do that than at Christmas,” member Sue Amos said.
“The Lions cakes and puddings have become staples in many homes across the district so we encourage everyone to pop in to the Plaza in the lead up to Christmas and make a purchase if they can.”
