State award for netball program
WARRNAMBOOL City Netball Association has been named Victoria’s ‘Inclusive Netball Community of the Year’.

The association, renowned for its all-inclusive netball program and its highly successful team, the Stingers, was announced the category winner at the Netball Victoria Community Awards presentation ceremony last Sunday.
Each year these awards shine a light on the individuals in the netball community who go above and beyond to support the game.

In accepting the award last weekend, alongside committee member Mel Addinsall, City Netball administrator Marg Morgan said she was absolutely thrilled the association was considered a worthy winner of the award.
“I was blown away to think someone in the community felt us worthy of such an award but to win it was just incredible.
“We have a wonderful netball community, not only for our mainstream teams but also for our All Abilities players who are just amazing.
“Our All Abilities team continues to go from strength to strength. We’re all about being inclusive and netball at all levels provides platforms for that inclusion which is wonderful.”
