State title for Emmanuel
EMMANUEL College’s year eight netballers are state champions.
Emmanuel College’s year 8 netball side celebrate their state title.
The girls took out the School Sport Victoria championship last Friday week, defeating Rowville by six goals in the grand final, 26-20.
This was the second title for the side, who also won the state championships in 2022.
Coached by Emmanuel teacher, Abby O’Brien, the team went through the day undefeated.
The school’s intermediate (year nine and 10 girls) netball team also progressed to the state championships.
While they were unable to bring home a state title, they performed exceptionally well throughout their competition, finishing runner-up to Rowville.
