South Warrnambool’s George Stevens was named best on ground in the Greater Western Victoria Rebels’ dominating win over the Geelong Falcons, 17.14.116 to 6.l4.40.

The round 14 match was the first game to be held in Warrnambool for the Rebels since 2014.

Talented Koroit teenager Connor Byrne led the Rebels attack, kicking five goals for the day, while Cobden youngster Rhys Unwin also shone, booting three goals which included what spectators called a ‘freakish snap’ from the left pocket in the third quarter.

South Warrnambool’s Wil Rantall and Luamon Lual, along with Warrnambool’s Amon Radley and Reggie Mast, and Koroit’s Mitch Lloyd also performed well on the day.
