Strong entries at Tyrendarra

IDEAL weather conditions and a big crowd combined to make this year’s Tyrendarra Show a huge success.

Last Saturday’s event attracted a quality field of entries, with seven breeds represented in the sheep section.

These comprised Corriedale, English Leicester, Hampshire Down, Poll Dorset, Suffolk, South Suffolk and White Suffolk with over 50 entries.

Interbreed judging results were as follows:

Supreme Group: Hampshire Down “Boonong Park” owned by Hildred and Leahy of Mortlake.

Reserve Group: South Suffolk “Willow Drive” owned by Barry Shalders of Grassmere.

Supreme Lamb: White Suffolk “Ridgell Downs” owned by Julie Plumridge of Apsley.

Supreme Ewe: White Suffolk “Ridgell Downs”.

Reserve Ewe: Hampshire Down “Boonong Park”.

Supreme Ram: Hampshire Down, Boonong Park”

Reserve Ram: South Suffolk “Willow Drive”

Sheep of the Show: White Suffolk Ewe.
