“Our association is very grateful for the support of the SWCF and this recent partnership is an important milestone for us,” WMA founder and president, Daisy Ye, said.

“It will help us to continue growing as a strong regional voice for multicultural communities, while strengthening inclusion, cultural diversity, connection, and belonging across our region.

“It will also make a meaningful difference to the organisation’s ability to deliver community-led initiatives and strengthens long-term vision to build more inclusive, welcoming spaces where people from all backgrounds can connect, participate, and thrive.”

Through the establishment of a Community Charitable Trust, donations to WMA are now tax-deductible.

Community members are encouraged to contribute and help strengthen grassroots multicultural initiatives across the region.

“This is an exciting time for our association and for all our multicultural communities across Warrnambool and the south west,” Ms Ye said.

This includes opportunities for performers, stallholders, community organisations and volunteers.

EOIs will remain open until the end of July.

The Warrnambool Multicultural Festival continues to be a flagship regional event, celebrating cultural diversity through food, music, dance, art, and shared experiences; bringing communities together across south west Victoria.

The Warrnambool Multicultural Festival will be held at the Civic Green on Saturday, November 7 from 10am-3pm.
