Trivia fun returns tonight
TRIVIA buffs looking for a fun night out should head to the Allansford Football Club tonight (Friday) for the much-loved annual trivia night.
Kicking off from 7pm, the evening is sure to bring local farmers and community members together for a night of fun, friendly competition and fundraising.
A highlight on the dairy farming social calendar, the event attracts participants from across the region to test their general knowledge and enjoy a night out with family, friends and colleagues.
WestVic Dairy project coordinator Liza Fahy said those who attend can expect a great atmosphere, with plenty of prizes up for grabs.
“Bring your team along and have a wonderful night,” Ms Fahey said.
“Thanks to event sponsor, Proud to be a Dairy Farmer, tickets are just $15.”
This year’s event will also support local charity Surviving the Dark Times, which works to improve access to mental health support in rural communities, reduce stigma and encourage people to seek help.
“Fundraising activities will include raffles and a major auction prize of a one-night luxury accommodation stay in Warrnambool,” Ms Fahey said.
“Delicious food will be provided and the Allansford Football Club will offer drinks at bar prices.”
The event will be hosted by the WestVic Dairy, Young Dairy Network.
Teams of up to eight can register, while smaller groups and individuals are also welcome and will be allocated a table on the night.
It is anticipated the event will run from 7pm-10pm.
Pre-purchased tickets are available via the WestVic Dairy website, dairyaustralia.com.au/westvic-dairy.
