Voting now open for tourism awards
PORT Fairy locals and visitors to the popular seaside town are now being encouraged to place their vote in the 2026 Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards.

With Port Fairy named a finalist in the ‘top small tourism town’ category, Moyne Shire mayor Cr Jordan Lockett is encouraging locals to cast their votes in favour of the town.
Cr Lockett said being named a finalist highlights the phenomenal tourism offering of Port Fairy and the strong community spirit that makes the town so special.
“Port Fairy is an epic place, not just because of its coastline, history and festivals, but because of the people who bring it to life every single day,” Cr Lockett said.
“This nomination is recognition of a whole community effort. From local businesses and volunteers to event organisers, artists, sporting clubs and community groups, tourism in Port Fairy is something that genuinely brings people together.
“It also shines a light on the broader Moyne region. Visitors might come for Port Fairy, but they leave having explored so much more of our shire.”
Cr Lockett is encouraging residents, visitors, and the wider community to get behind Port Fairy and help secure the top honour.
“We’re asking everyone who loves Port Fairy to jump online and cast a vote. Whether you live here, holiday here, or simply have great memories of the town, this is a chance to show your support,” he said.
“We’d love to see the community get behind Port Fairy and help us bring this one home. Every vote is a chance to showcase what makes this town so special.”
The annual Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards celebrate communities that demonstrate a strong commitment to tourism and delivering outstanding visitor experiences.
The awards provide valuable exposure for regional destinations and can help increase visitation and economic benefit to local communities.
Voting is open now and takes less than 30 seconds.
