Wheelie Convoy returns
AFTER a successful first event in 2024, the Warrnambool Wheelie Convoy returns on Wednesday, October 22.
People using wheelchairs, wheelie walkers, mobility scooters or trikes are invited to join the convoy, which will start at Lake Pertobe from 11am.
There are two courses to choose from - a 400m short course at Lake Pertobe, and a longer course that heads down Pertobe Road, along Worm Bay Road and back to Lake Pertobe via the Foreshore Promenade.
Warrnambool City Council coordinator community programs Clare Vaughan said the convoy was designed to promote social connection, physical activity and the use of Warrnambool’s accessible foreshore infrastructure.
The event is free to join, but RSVPs are required for safety and catering purposes.
