Winners crowned at indoor comp
WARRNAMBOOL Indoor Bowls has completed the last of its 2026 association championships, with the Open Triples finishing last Saturday.
Congratulations to all winners, including the following:
Open fours – Peter Neal (s), Graeme Ellis, Dorothy Gleeson and Jason Pearson; runners-up Scott Pierce (s), Rita Mungean, Andrew Lackie and Kim Brauer.
Open triples – Rodney Wilson (s), Colin Wilson and Bev McCosh; runners-up Allen Armistead (s), Andrew Lackie and John Hovard.
Open pairs – George Draffen (s) and Sally Madden; runners-up Brendan Keane (s) and Dorothy Gleeson.
Ladies singles – winner Julie Pollock, runner-up Sally Madden.
Men’s singles – winner Rodney Wilson, runner-up Peter Baker.
Consolation singles – winner Maureen Drennan, runner-up Rita Mungean.
Champion of Champions singles – ladies winner Dorothy Gleeson, runner-up Debbie Keane; men’s winner George Draffen, runner-up Ray Hoy.
The winter pennant season is also into finals, with the grand finals to be played next Monday.
