WorkSafe is coming to Warrnambool
WORKSAFE is coming to Warrnambool to share expert advice on workplace health and safety and support injured workers.

Employers and workers are invited to a free event, to be held at the Lady Bay Resort next Thursday, October 8 as part of WorkSafe’s annual Health and Safety Month roadshow across Victoria.
A complimentary breakfast will be followed by a session with inspectors discussing current health and safety issues, local data trends and the resources and support available from WorkSafe.
Other topics will include an in-depth discussion designed to build confidence and capability in meeting return to work obligations, as well as insights from WorkSafe’s strategic approach to regulating the healthcare and social assistance industry.
The event will wrap up with a chance to connect with WorkSafe experts over morning tea.
WorkSafe chief health and safety officer Sam Jenkin said the presentations will focus on local health and safety issues while also highlighting WorkSafe’s role in the community.
“These sessions are designed to give local employers and workers the information and tools to make a real difference to health and safety in their workplaces,” Mr Jenkin said.

WorkSafe’s series of in-person events across regional Victoria and Melbourne will be followed by a week-long series of Health and Safety Month webinars in the final week of October.
