Seven month-old miniature Dapple Dachshund ‘Ellie’ was a little overwhelmed by the large crowd that gathered at the Port Fairy oval last Sunday afternoon for the running of the 2026 Dachshund Dash – but was comforted by owner Margie Fary of Warrnambool who said Ellie may just line up with the starters next year.

Who let the dogs out?

THE mayhem and laughter of the annual Dachshund Dash returned to the Port Fairy football ground last weekend.
